I copied a whole load of files onto CD to get the dick space back a few months ago. I have used the CD several times with no problems but now after a few months of no use. None of the machines in my home can read it.
Is there any way I can recover these files?

If because of a scratch: you can polish it with a clear polymer CD repair kit. If it has a hole in the silver side - forget it.

If it has been burned wrong and the drive won't accept it, try http://www.jufsoft.com/badcopy/
you can try before you buy.

Well, try cleaning out the lens of those drives and also clean the surface of the cd from the inside of the CD to the outside with a microfiber cloth. Try that. If that fails as well, then I hate to be the barrier of bad news, but I'm afriad you'll have to cut that CD up.

Just 'recover' the CD and throw it. You really cannot recover it.
