When bidding on any item on eBay, you agree to eBay's Terms of Service that you read and checked off when you created your eBay account. By not following through with your purchase, you give the seller the ability to leave you with negative feedback and give your account an unhealthy rating, which won't help you when making future transactions on eBay.

Good luck.

You can try a Bid Retraction, but it may or may not be approved by the eBay police. I have provided 2 links for you in the source section. The first explains what it is and when you can do it. The second is the form to fill out when you want to retract.

Good Luck. Also send an email to the seller.

Why can't you pay them?
You should go back to the actual auction page and find "Ask seller a question", or click on the sellers name, contact them directly and talk to them about it. Some will work with you but some get really rude, so be prepared for a negative feedback.

And if your wondering why they get rude, it's because when you sell on ebay and your item "sells", whether the buyer pays or not, the seller still gets charged a fee and it sucks!!!

As I understand it, when you click the button to bid, you agree that if you are the highest bidder, you are getting into a legally binding contract and you have to pay for it.

I suggest on this occasion you contact the seller and try to negotiate paying for the item bit by bit, but in future avoid spending beyond your means and manage your budget better.

If you informed the seller, that is about all you can do. Hipefully they will make an attempt to contact you and you can work out a different way of paying (check, money order, etc.) If not, the worst they can do is give you a negative feedback.

and you bid because of the fact? You value the enterprise money. the proper situation to do is grant the enterprise their itemizing and extremely final fee expenditures. Then they are basically out time. in case you do no longer fulfill the enterprise, they're going to report an unpaid merchandise dispute--getting a style of could slow your potential to bid down. Get numerous and you'd be kicked off of eBay.
