Yes, if where you're going is dressed up casual and you are a bit more on the fashion forward side. If it is a little more formal, like a wedding or a banquet, or you are a conservative person in general, then tuck it in. It will look best if you feel comfotable and confident.

Look lets put it this way, who are you trying to impress!
Your mother... tuck it in. Your girlfriend ... leave it out.
Grunge look ... one in one out. Same sex crowd ... tie it leaving your belly button showing.
