Okay, unlike just about every other poster up to this point, I don't have to guess at this answer.

No. Both lizards and dinosaurs are reptiles, but they aren't related beyond that.

Lizards are a specific class of reptiles, both modern and ancient, which do not include dinosaurs... and likewise dinosaurs are a specific class of reptiles (long extinct) which do not include lizards.

I think its more dinosaurs being in the lizard family. Look it up.

No they are not! Dinosaurs weren't lizards. They were reptiles, certainly, but there are other reptiles -- snakes, turtles, crocodiles -- that aren't lizards, and neither were dinosaurs. Lizards crawl on their bellies, because their legs grow out from their bodies.

Aww, why go and spoil a perfect trend. Everyone was having fun pulling answers out of their bum.

I realy wish people wouldn't just guessat answers in reposnse to factual quetsions. There are more than enough pointless questions asking for opinions for those who just want points.

actually it is thought that lizards are cthe descendants of dinosaurs

Some are. Some are in the amphibian group and others seem to be in the bird group.
