The more i want to make people comfortable around me the more i make i make them distant...why is it so and how can i overcome it?

its because you want them to accept you, dont care if someone doesnt like you or if they leave because it happens, dont try to make them comfortable around you either because they might see that your trying to do that and then not feel comfortable, just be yourself

Be yourself. Also, ask questions about their life. If they feel comfortable with you, they will answer. If they want to get to know you better, be open to them also. Find things you have in common and talk about those things. Be positive and helpful, that always makes people feel comfortable.

just be yourself. and the best way to make someone comfortable around you is simple, just be polite, and youll be seen as a friendly, inviting person :)
