I played all through high school and two years of college before messing up my knee.Back problems are the most common injury in football because we use those muscles for everything we do on the field. As far as making them heal faster here are 5 things you can do to get you back out there with less pain
(there will always be some pain if you keep playing).
1.hit the gym,now I'm not talking about lifting weights or running on a treadmill.what I'm talking about is rowing and various ab machines.Always do light and slow movements to work loose those sore and tired muscles.
2.Water,water,water and more water.keep your back feeling right by giving every muscle in your body extra water.
3.Take a day off right after the injury,at least don't do any heavy lifting, that muscle will heal itself if you let it.
4.Eat.fruits and vegetables with help the muscles relax and feel rejuvenated.
5.Correct your tackling technique and you'll be better off.

Alternately heat and cold may relieve your symptoms. If you go to the doctor, ask him/her about muscle relaxers. That along with Tylenol, Aleve or Advil and bed rest for 2 or 3 days should put you back in order. If not, your problem may need more attention.

How long ago did you injure it?

Try alternating heat and ice. This will cause a "milking" action that will bring additional blood and oxygen to the mucle causing it to heal faster.

Feel better soon
