Beautiful island,nice beaches,temple of aphaia 2500 years old,church of st Nectarios-one of the largest in Greece,small yet interesting museum,fish restaurants,night clubs.And as mentioned above yummy aegina pistachios..Only 1 h away by ferry boat from Pireas port of Athens or just 40 min by hydrofoil.Do go.No matter your age you will like it !

Well, Aegina is extremely historic island!
The first coins were done there!
You can visit the Temple of Athena Aphaea!
Beautiful beaches, nice people!
I would recommend Aegina for some short vacation! If you want to stay for a long time, you need good company, or you find there!

i ve been to aegina many times because its pretty close to athens (20 minutes to the port of piraeus and from there the boat takes you to aegina in about 45 minutes) and it is one of the most beautiful small islands we have here in greece! the center has many many tourists, bars, restaurants and there are also villages like agia marina (15 minutes from the center) with great beaches and beach bars. it really worths going, yeah definitely get some pistachios and have a nice time!

My friend was there and enjoyed it. If you like pistacchio nuts, they are grown there (send me some please ;-)))
