***UGH at some of the hearltess answers that were given. The question simply asked WHERE not what they were doing. Most lost EVERYTHING and it takes more than a year and a couple thousand dollars to replace everything especially if you have children and medical conditions.****
I believe the majority of them are stiil in Texas but like others have said they are everywhere.

I believe that they have relocated to just about every state in the country. A huge number, over 80,000, are in Houston. Baton Rouge also has seen a significant increase in population. Several counties in Mississippi also have opened their doors to the New Orleans residents.
I've heard the population of New Orleans has dropped by 35%.

Some are home (my family returned), some are still in temporary housing outside of New Orleans, some are in temporary housing in New Orleans, some are camping in City Park, some have relocated permanently.

They are all over the south or other parts of the country I know that there was special housing made in Arkansas and other states for them that arent being used . But yet we still pay taxes on them !! ugh !!

I think they are all here in Port Arthur TX crying cause they got to work to have a place to stay cause FEMA aint pay'n for a free ride no more.
