A Pirate's Love

to everyone

Believe not of a Pirate's evil soul,
as written in heartless tales
told!
Pirate's harbor a special love,
that's both innocent and
bold!
They find no pleasure in mere
tarnished pieces of silver or
Gold!
But the purity of your heart,
felt in the strength of your
Hold!

Argh...
I have to take a cue from my Lord and Master Jimmy Buffett. Like him

"Yes I am a pirate, 200yrs too late.
The cannons dont thunder, there is nothing to Plunder
I'm a [21yr old] victum of fate,
Arriving too late, arriving too late."

Alright Pirate lady, look up A Pirate looks at Forty by Jimmy Buffett if you wanna hear the best of pirate songs. Although yours was damn good!

People wouldn't love a pirate because pirates hold all the gold from us. Of course, if I was the pirate's lady i'd get to share the gold. ♥

While it's easy to love the romanticized idea of a pirate (who wouldn't love the idea of sailing on the open sea with adventure and love and danger all looming?), the reality speaks a much more harsh, much less lovable tale. They were thieves, murderers, philanderers, and outlaws who seemed to thrive on debauchery, as well as committing other crimes of a similar nature against humanity.

Pirates are smelly, drunken fools who steal gold and don't care about anyone but themselves, their ship and sometimes their crew. Their parrots are annoying, their hair is greasy, they refuse to stay on land for very long. They are crude and often sexist.

And I love them. Capt. Jack Sparrow rules! Why didn't you work that line in?
