I need to create a website in a hurry. I want to use a tool that doesnt put in a lot of proprietary junk like MS Publisher does. Any recommendations?

I like http://www.adobe.com/products/homesite/ Its a macromedia adobe product called homesite. You can basically form a webpage and it has tabbing so that you can preview the page that youre working on. It will help you with html design and the layout.
Its trial but I think they still let you use it after the trial is over. Its just a popup box thats annoying but you can keep using it.

PHP Designer 5.0 Free and does LOTS! I just read about it o !Answers and downloaded it. WOW! Not ready to toss my Dreamweaver yet, but it could happen.

quick Frontpage is quickest one... i created entire website in 24 hours with frontpage..... i was in hurry... it's easy...

I don't know if it's the best one, but Nvu is not bad, and it's free.
