Put some isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol on a clean sponge or facecloth and rub it on the inside of the shoes, inside the toebox and the sides of the shoe. Put newspaper or rolled up paper towels into the shoes overnight, this should loosen them for wearing. You may want to have your feet measured at a reputable shoe store, before purchasing, you may need to be buying a different size or wider width. Everyones' foot size changes as they age, with weight loss or gain.

Unperfumed soap rubbed on the inside of the upper at the places it hurts will soften the leather and give you some respite, but for actually widening them - that would need a shoemaker's last, if you can find one. My dad, when asked to stretch some shoes, always gave a big yawn and two arms stretch and never got a complaint. Hope you have better success. A good tip, always buy shoes in the afternoon when your feet are at their largest.......

Place a zipper plastic bag in each shoe.
Fill with water ,SEAL AND PLACE IN FREEZER.
As the water freezer it will expand, causing the shoe to stretch evenly, without any damage.
Then take the shoes out of the freezer.
Let the water melt before removing the bags.
Hope this helps

try -putting on an old pair of socks- that you wouldn't mind getting stained- and with the shoes on your feet get them really wet- stand in the bath tub or whatever-and walk around in them untill it becomes uncompfortable-do it several times- the shoes will more than likely streach to fit your foot-it that doesn't work- trash them

shud a got de rat siz first off,,, however they do make shoe stretchers,, they have two wooden halves at the toe end and a screw mechanism to open them up after you put them in your shoe,,, most shoe stores have them,, ask them to widen your new shoes or if they sell the things,, look into those catalogs like harriet carter and such,, they always have them for sale...
