I grew up playing board games of all varieties. I still enjoy playing them with my girls. Occasionally a family friend and I will have a game night where we get together and play Upwords or Sequence. My husband and I often have late night Scrabble matches and my girls enjoy Life and Sorry as well as a variety of card games, especially when someone is sick or bedbound!
I would love to find more people who like to get together and play games- it is great fun and fellowship. TV and video games can be entertaining but you lose the face to face fellowship and opportunity to really enjoy others live company.

Well one of my favorite things to do with my friends is have a sleepover without any actual sleep because we spend the night playing games like Risk (Clone Wars version) or Age of Mythology. It's a bit hard to find a variety of board games here. Usually there's only stuff like Monopoly or Risk or Scrabble and all the best selling games. I rely on relatives or friends who come back from America to visit to get some "different" board games.
I used to play a lot of chess with my classmates a few years ago when I was a lot more free

Yes, a lot of people do.
There are game group around or you can form your own. Local game stores, colleges may have a board game club. I play once a week with a private board game group and I can go to a local game store here twice month. The church I go to has a good handful of board gamers.

When I throw a nice little party we eiter play hold em or some monopoly, cause monopoly is fun till you get into the 2nd hour of the game, then you just start gaining secret hatreds of each other.

Absolutely. Just taught my girlfriend Backgammon a few nights ago. I also love a good round of Monopoly, Scrabble, Acquire (EXCELLENT game - one of my absolute faves), or many others with the family.

I do. I will only play monopoly if it is the original board game.

Yes, I love them, but have no one to play them with anymore. It seems everyone around here is into more techno-advanced stuff that goes much faster. People rarely even play cards anymore.

sometimes. but 1/2 the "board games" now arent really boards. look at catch phrase, or remote possibilities, or other stuff, they arent boards. but sometimes we sit as a family and play clue or pictionary or somethin.
