Well, personally it looks just a bit on the odd side to me. I know it was designed for him by Tony Stark (Iron Man) but this isn't the first time Spider-Man has gotten a different outfit over the years. I think the suit will play a critical role in the current Civil War storyline that is ripping through thr Marvel Universe.
After Civil War is over, we may see Spidey go back to the red and blues we all know and love. Though the new suit does have some cool abilities to add to Spider-Man's powers.

It's got some pros and cons. Me, I am still undecided - but I do remember all the brouhaha over the black and white alien suit Peter picked up during the Secret Wars - and we all know how popular THAT suit is NOW!
Of course, with the suit having been designed by Tony Stark, the suit's got quite a few modifications that we haven't seen yet - plus a few that we wouldn't expect Spidey to have, like the gliding!
It looks cool - but time will tell if fans embrace it like Venom's duds. We shall see if Spidey goes back to his ever-popular red and blue or maybe he might keep this one... .

The design is cool, me favorite beign the the Scarlet Spider. But liek everyone said, he will shed the costume durign the War and switch over to join Cap. Havign a full body costume and having to protect his family from villains for years will finaly catch up to Peter and he will realize that as much as he respects Tony adn believes in his cause in his heart, he will know the truth doen in his gut. Idealism only works until one doesnt believe in it. But the look is cool, except the mask I think is too plain, bring back the webs on the costume, plus web pits.

I haven't seen it yet, but look how long the black suit lasted. After a while, it'll return to the classic uniform.
modify) The classic uniform is SO well established in the public eye. Look at how often Iron Man has changed his suit.

i have a theory that during civil war, that if spiderman takes iron man's side, that he will switch sides later. in Wizard magazine they mentioned four possible heroes that will switch sides and i think its gonna be spiderman. and what a better way to symbolize his detatchment from tony stark, than to shed that suit. i beleive that the whole point of putting peter in this suit is to actually get him to take it off.
as for my opinion on it, i really dont like it. i dont care for the colors or the weird legs. i like my spidey in classic form. its very gimmicky, you know?

The design is cool, but the colors aren't. He did switch back to the old suit in the last issue of Amazing Spider-Man.
