Cheaters cheat to win, to gain something-it could material, emotional or just an ego boost, or whatever. Even those who are forced to cheat because the forcer has some leverage, do so to reduce or avoid a loss, or for personal gain.
As far as your second Q is concerned - perspectives change as you grow older, if you mean a player who practices fair play, well that too depends on the situation that that player finds him/her/it self in.

Yes it is a true phrase! Cheaters always cheat because they have some need for more than 1 woman/man. It is caused by various emotional problems they may have. Maybe they want attention because they never got any by their family and other reasons like that. It depends on the cheater's background. Just dump anyone that cheats on you.

Unless someone really wants to change and learn from their mistakes they will be doomed to repeat the past. People cheat for a lot of reasons- not happy in their current relationship, excitement, attention, and some because they are just scum.

1 they are insecure.
2 they dont think that they will get caught.
3 they are lame.
4 they need the attention, hence insecure.
5 they have a lack of judgement.
6 they are young and dont know any better.
With that, cheaters generally grow out of it as they get older and they realize that being a slut just isnt cool.

Cheaters cheat to boost their ego,to get cheap thrills,coz they dont have a spine & to prove that they r "outstanding creatures". Poor chaps they will always be "standing out".

cheaters cheat because they have insecurities and they want to prove that they can cheat and get all the girls that they want. they can't be cheaters forever because along the path of cheating, he will eventually find the right one for him and he will learn his lesson because he will do everything to not to lose that girl.^__^
