Is it ok that i'm 14 and i'm going out with a 17 that will soon be 18. is this illegel. can someone help me

you can date him, as long as you don't have sex with him. if you have sex he is committing statutory rape.

Once he turns 18 it illegal. But, if your parents are cool with it, then it might be okay. I've gone out and had sex with 15-17 year old girls. And their parents were cool with it as long as they didn't get pregnant. You should talk to him and see if he wants to take a chance or not. You have to realize that, if you're caught, he might go to jail. So be careful, whatever you choose.

Yeah, sex and sexual realations with him is illegal. However, you are too young to be having healthy sex anyway so I would just hold off on that. Keep in mind that someone can accuse him of it without having actually done anything so be careful.

It does depend on your state..but where i am from it is illegal. Not to say i wasn't 14 at one time and dated an 18 yr old...YIKES! My mom was really mad though. Decide if it is really worth the hassle, hun! ;)

It is only illegal if you have sex with him after he turns 18.
Even then it's not illegal if your parents consent to it, though sex at 14 is TOO young anyhow.

Ok, dont listen to most of these ppl, they dont know what they are talking about. I have a friend(14) who went out with this guy(18), she checked it out, IT IS ONLY ILLEGAL WHEN HE HAS SEX WITH YOU(STATORY RAPE)(statory rape is when you are under 16-it is illegal to have sex if you are under 16[U.S.]- and have sex with some one older than 16)
so, as long as you dont have sex with you guy until you are 16, it is legal

Not really as long as he doesn't rape you or anything cuz that is statitorty rape. One of my friends is in the 8th grade and goes out with a senior so I have nothing against it.
