I think it depends on your age. When I was a teen I lived in Anchorage. With all the outdoor sports in the winter that was truly a paradise for me. Now I'm in Georgia which has a much milder winter and I don't have to deal with ice. When I become a senior citizens I might contemplate Florida or Hawaii.
I lived over seas for about 10 years of my live and still prefer the good ole U.S.A.
