I know that babies get their teeth at all different times. My daughter is almost 10 months old and has no teeth what-so-ever. I was just curious as to how old your children were when they got their first teeth?

I was just asking a question - I did not want stupid answers telling me that there is something wrong with my child or her nutrition, so don't come here giving me stupid answers and telling me stupid crap. Thanks...because I know there is nothing wrong with not having teeth at this age. I just wanted to know when other kids got theirs. If you want to leave a stupid comment, go leave it on someone else's question because I have no time for idiots.

My friend has 4 kids, and none of them get teeth until they are 1 years old. She's pregnant with her 5th, and is expecting the exact same thing. My twins got their first teeth around 8-9 months or so, every baby is different. It's kinda cool that way - how babies develop differently.
Good for you for getting mad at people saying there is something wrong with your baby!!! Nothing is wrong - by the time kids are 5 who is going to care when they get their first tooth? I feel the same way, my twins are behind developmentally, they will catch up around 3-4 years, but I'm sick of people giving their opinion on how to "make them", and asking questions making sure I read to them and stuff. People are idiots sometimes.

SERIOUS ANSWER HERE! Your right, babies get teeth at all different times. My dentist told me that the longer it takes the teeth to come out the healthier the teeth are. Of course you have to help. Don't leave the bottle in their mouth while they are asleep and don't put sugar/drinks in the bottle. Now you can call the dentist and ask when too long is, and he can advise you on it at that time. I personally don't think you have anything to worry about. Except all the drool that will happen before the teeth. My son was about 8 months old when two teeth popped out on the bottom.

All my children had at least one tooth by this age. BUT I have a friend whose daughter did not get her first tooth until she was 13 months old.
If you are really concerned about something being wrong you can bring it up with your doctor. But it is usually nothing to be worried about. And they actually even say the later they get those teeth the better!

My son is eight months and he has his top two just break through and he already had the bottom two for over a month now. they came in pairs. And as you can see teeth come in at all the different ages. My niece has two bottom ones in and no other ones and she just turned one. And don't listen alot of the ones that think somethin is wrong with your child, cuz they don't know too much of anything. You are the mother and you know your child best. Trust me, I've had some on here try to me things that don't even sound real. Congrats on your little one.

Rest assured, a baby cutting teeth later is better. My ped. told me when I had my first one, who did not cut her teeth until a year old then they all came in at once, that she would have really strong teeth because the later they came in the less likely they would be harmed with juice, milk whatever staying on them for long periods of time. I did not know how strong they were going to be until my daughter came to me at 5 years old and said her mouth hurt. I looked in her mouth and all of her "big girl" teeth had grown in behind her baby teeth. the tooth fairy had to dig deep because the Ped. sent me to the dentist with her where they had to pull all 6 bottom baby teeth becuase of her adult teeth. She is 11 and has no cavities. My other 2 are just like her, and teething late is a good thing!!!!!!!!

my son got his first tooth at 3 or 4 months but stopped getting teeth at 9 months. He is only a year old and has only 6 teeth. The doctor said it's fine. But if you are truely concerned maybe call your pediatrician and hopefully he/she will give you some more info...

Normally babies start to get teeth around the 5th/6th month. Others have a tooth already when they are born. I wouldn't worry too much, it is like with "learning how to walk", some are fast others are slower. But when you are worried a lot show your baby to a doctor or a dentist.
Wish you all the best!

A friend of mine who had a daughter said that she was over a year before she got her first tooth. My kids got them around 6 months, and some are born with teeth. So, it depends.
