Since there has been no vacuum chamber the size of a movie set ever built because it would collapse in upon itself, where else but the moon [where there is no air] could the hammer and feather drop have been performed? I think it was Apollo 15 where one of the astronauts decided to prove Galileo's statement that all objects [in the same gravity well] will fall at the same rate. So, he dropped a hammer and falcon feather and both hit the ground at the same time. Plus when the GM lunar rover was used, all the dust its wheels kicked up fell immediately back to the ground. Why? There again was no air for the dust motes/particles to float in. Why are there no stars in any of the photos? Why are there no stars in the sky when you go outside and look up at noon (your local time)? Cause it is daylight.
And the USSR did try to go to the moon, but the best they could achieve was getting their stuff to crash onto the lunar surface--one of which threw out little red stars when it did.
And, lastly, just how did the mirrors/reflectors that scientists still use to measure the moon's distance from earth get there? Oh yeah, Apollo astronauts set them up.

Yes, the Apollo program was real and only those who can't understand it and want some attention come out every now and again claiming it was all a hoax.

Although my wife's father did performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional movie about a fake mission to mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we simply have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? The Soviet Union and East Germany had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called is out if they have evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trips to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 30+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? Because the beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon in 3 different locations on 3 different trips.

Case closed.

Oh man I cannot believe that people still ask this asinine question!
Are you for real?
You DO realize that not one, not two, but THREE seperate missions to the moon left behind reflectors that are used on a daily basis by observatories and labs around the world to measure the distance between the earth and the moon. Now, if it was faked, does NASA pay these labs and observatories to keep it quiet? And don't you think that they'd get MUCH more money from some news agency for spilling the beans?
Come on, the clue phone is ringing off the hook here, won't you pick it up?

This question is a fair one. But I believe it was real. There have been many arguments regarding this question and evidence that everything was just a hoax. What these people need to rember that this is not taking place on the earth. All the evidence against it can be disproven very easily

The best answer I had to this question that if the moon landing was a fake the Soviet Union would of quickly denounced it.
After all they have their own equipment capable of going to the moon, but never bothered spending the money after we did it.

It was real. All the "evidence" to the contrary is easily debunked if you know a few things about photography and physics.

of course it was real....those NASA conspirasicts(is that a word?)were just moroons who thought that one little thing that didnt make sense it isnt real.....if that was true, then we would still be walking around naked and not knoeing how to make fire.
