Yes I am an American stationed in Italy. Check your charger to see if it has 110v-240v. If it does, you are safe. Just get an adapter for the plug for the appropriate country. It'll work. Don't be afraid of it blowing up. I have had my pc and my laptop connected to euro 220v power and it all works. The only problem is that europe has a less steady power system. I.e. Italy has one power station (or so I've heard) so the power flux's every so often. Good luck and safe travels. Oh yeah, and if you want to use wifi in the airports in europe, find a kiosk where you can either use their computers or get a password or whatever to logon to their wifi.

Of course it will! If you used Internet or some sort of other online networks in the USA, you might need to switch for another kind in Europe. Otherwise, you'll pay your head off...
You might also need a converter to charge the laptop, of course.
Further more, you' might have to pay a lot in taxes when you go through customs on your way back. Things at the price of laptops normally require tax.
Hope that helped...

Hi,
Yes you can - but you need an extra power convertor and the source power all around Europe is 220-230 V at a maximum voltaje of 50 mmV.
With the software no problems - at least of what I know !
Good luck!
Bye from Romania

Yes. Most laptops use power bricks that are auto-ranging. That is, they can use either the 110V/60Hz power in USA or the 220V/50Hz power in Europe. You will need an adaptor to plug it in, but no voltage converter is typically needed. Check you power supply. If it says 100-240V 50/60Hz, then you are set.

yes you can...some things of concern, how you'll power it (you'll need some sort of converter), if it comes with wireless internet access, depending on the country there may be some issues (my new toshiba laptop came with information in the manual about all the different requirements in each country), and finally, software exportation issues...i don't know too much about that one, but i'm pretty sure as long as you're an american citizen and you're only going to use to the software overseas, you should have no issues.
