hey chill, it was a joke. I don't even have a cat.
And here in OZ they can be concidered vermin by some (not me) as they do kill our native birds here.

All the Ideas I've read so far are good ideas but I usually prefer to go with the cheapest resolution to a problem.

What you need to do is you as the focal point of your swing need to move your location in the room. As you swing and are clear of one wall move toward that wall to make room for your swing past the next wall. You need to be very careful and fast as one poor judgment in distance can result in damage to your walls.

Hope this helps and happy swinging

One more solution just hit me. Does your place have a fire escape or balcony? If you stand next to the railing you may have clearance to get by the wall.

Chop up the cat. Try it with just a paw. Tie it to a rope and swing it around you.

You can probably do it with the whole cat as well. If you tie the rope to his tale, he can still see what happens and enjoy the ride.

If I where you I would make a rollercoaster swing, like not just 360 degrees sidewards but also in a vertical swing. Give the cat some thrills!

Watch out that his puke doesn't get in your exited open mouth.

If that doesn't work, move out or get a kitten.

Get a tent. Fly to Canada, drive all the way to Tofino and swing the cat in the tent. All the Canadians will laugh and tell the story to their grandchildren.

Must be a small flat. Is it big enough to swing a rat?

OK. I know the old saying! Seems not many people have heard it before. And ya gotta be Politically Correct if you don't want the general populace to melt down!
But to answer your question, I would try stepping away from the wall and into the middle of the room.

Keep swinging your cat, and you won't need to worry about getting a larger flat, you'll get a jail cell for animal abuse, nutcake!
