6 weeks after I got married, I was rushed to the hospital. I remember I could not breathe, and my stomache was so swollen I thought I was having a baby. Turns out, I was bleeding internally from a malignant tumor that had ruptured on my ovary. I was diagnosed with cancer, went through several surgeries, and decided with my new husband NOT to take chemotherapy treatments. Truly, it was the VERY best decision I ever made!!!! It would have made me infertile. It changed me and everything about my life!!!!

Something terrible that happened to me when I was six. It made me very shy and hide from people. It's been over 20 years, and, though I am better, I am still affected by that and I still hide from people. I don't mean under the stairs, it means that I don't talk to people. Writing in a forum like this is much easier than talking to other humans, though I do that. I am just not good at meeting new people.

A huge life changing moment for me was when I was raped at gunpoint. I am white, he was black. My 2 yr. old daughter was in the car when he pulled me from it. Fortunately, a friend was with me to stay with her. Unfortunately, he was never caught. I have wondered, with the gun at my temple, if I would have bit him when he forced it into my mouth, would I be here now?
