Do the child's bedroom in something bright...yellow, light orange, something to that effect. Lighter colors are associated with being happy, something to lift spirits, and I think that's very important in a child's life. As for the rest of the house, I'd have to see what kind of deco you have to match the walls. I like a teal or light blue for the living room, a nice, cool, tropical theme - and red walls/ceiling for master br. to give it that sexy, sensual, relaxing feeling. Hope everything turns out great!

Three things to do
1. figure out your favorite colors. Look in your closet, what are the dominate colors you have excluding black and white.
2. look at your furniture and artwork what colors will coordinate with them (unless you are buying new)
3. will these rooms be seen from each other? i.e. open floor plan. If they do then they should coordinate.
4. get a hold of a color wheel, this allow you to figure out coordinating colors with the primaries choosen

Remember, you can always repaint if you don't like your finished product.

It depends on the type of house. You should stay in the same color pallet but experiemnt. For me, i like dark reds and brown, and maybe even a yellow to lighten it up.
