magick isn't some cookie cutter recipie. not everybody gets the same results from the same thing. it all depends on the want, the will, and the need.
some people prefer to stay away from covens. because like any other fellowship, they become political and corrupted. this is unfortunate but inevitable in any faction of organized religion. over time they can come to twist doctrine to suit their own purpose and away from the overall good and well being of each other, the coven and the world we live in.

By doing Witchcraft do you mean you want to cast spells for ill or for good? My friend is a 'White Witch', I don't claim to know much about it, but he's into a thing called 'Wicca', which basically is Natural Magic. It's the stuff people used to believe in before Christianity came around and attempted to civilize to world by telling everyone that they were filthy, dirty, perverted heathens! Apparently it celebrates the feminine not the masculine (which is why christianity has tried to both ridicule and destroy it) and has it's roots in the air the sea the woods the sun, basically anything natural. I'd recommend taking a look at Wicca, you could do much worse. Happy spell casting>

First you need the proper equipment, start with a large black cauldron. Fill it with water and bring to the boil, (make sure it is boiling) pop in four very young live furry kittens and hold them down in the boiling water using a large wooden ladle, until they stop squealing!
Follow this by dropping in four small puppy dogs and again hold down with ladle, until they stop yelping.
The final touch is to insert your own head into the boiling water and leave submerged for at least 30 minuets. You have then completed stage 1 of the initiation procedure, congratulations! Once you have accomplished this contact me and I will give you the full procedures for the remaining 98 initiation programmes!!
Hope this helps?? As this is all top secret please do not spread it around!

This is not a philosophy question but a religious question. The two are related disciplines but not the same, similar to math and science.
Wicca is a belief system. Llewellen is a publisher of many modern day books on the subject of neo-pagan wiccan subjects. Read many books. Join a coven of more experienced Wiccans, learn from them.
Study philosophy to determine whether wicca is a worthy use of your life.

First learn to spell (or at least use spellcheck). A mis-cast spell will certainly bite you in the posterior and leave a mark.
Second, find a good instructor. Nothing to fool with on your own, witchcraft.
Third, empty your bank account and give all the money to the instructor (to prove you are worthy).
Fourth, get a life.

It's all in the mind. If you can convince someone that you have control over them, then you really do control them.
You have to hunt out those who are really superstitious though. Witchcraft, like fortune telling is 100% trickery.

Witchcraft involves working with demons and thus is not good for you (for the salvation of your soul).
And besides, this is not a philosophy question.
