First, zip the file. Then if you could get a friend or someone you know who has webspace on a Server, find out if you can temporarly use their space by uploading the file via ftp. I would only upload 1GB if you have a high speed internet connection.

I've tried sending huge files and recieving them...but for 1GB,thats alot to send and something usually happens with either of the parties connections and causes it to fail...so time probably will be wasted.
