My friends a girl and she lives with a gay guy. (hes a model may i add ;) Hes been gay for years but they are always having sex and he initiates it! Hes been gay since birth and has never been with a girl before her. Why do they keep having sex and for so long? (3 years) he hasnt even had a boyfriend since he met her. I dont get it. Is he straight now or something? They are 28 & 29. Last night he said he made a mistake being gay. Is that actually possible??

Didnt know how to categorize the question.

I have some questions; did he determine his sexual preference from his first experience and I assume that was with a male? Is he bi-sexual instead of gay? Is she fooling herself thinking he is just with her if he is bisexual or gay?

I don't profess to know what is in his mind, but "making a mistake" that your gay...not sure about that one. Gender confusion takes place at a very early age (under the age of 4 usually) and you see this when little boys play with dolls and girls are "tom boys". No harm, just as long as they work it out (usually it comes naturally). But to have a grown man who claims to be gay since birth now say he is straight, I find confusing.

I think your friend should be very careful, both emotionally and physically here. Using protection is very important. She could be setting herself up for some real problems.

i have a friend who's sort of in the same situation. she's gay, but she's now questioning her sexuality. the thing is, she's never been with a guy before. it's the same thing with you friend. i think people don't choose to be gay or straight, they just are. but the experimentation still has to be there. you friend could be bisexual. in all essence, if he had never been with a girl before, he never really knew for sure if he had that attraction. it doesn't necessarily mean that he's straight now. but i would definitely say he's not gay anymore.

and if it really makes you wonder, just ask him. if you're afraid of hurting his feelings, tell him that's not what you're trying to do. you're just curious because you don't understand. and hopefully he'll be okay with telling you.

Nobody can actually decide to be gay or straight, but it sounds as though this guy tried. I knew a man once who pretended to be bisexual so that I would date him (I'm female)- maybe he was just trying to get girls interested. Maybe he really is bisexual. Maybe he's just in it for the sex. Who knows? You'll have to ask him.

In my opinion being gay is being bored with the opposite sex. So maybe he just got bored with guys so decided to change it around again

it sounds like he's confused. i don't think you have a choice ether you are gay or you aren't. he's never been with a girl before so it's new and exciting to him, like a teenage boy first discovering sex, obviously he's attracted to her. is he still attracted to guys? i really think he should make a choice,he can't keep going back and forth, it'll frustrate him. if he changes his mind again you should advise him to talk to someone, even a free hot-line.
