Moreso, from a team that has been proclaiming, that it will win the Cup.
Everyone, from the coaching staff, players and the fans (who from the very beginning, kept boasting that England would win, and defeat Brazil if they met) have repeatedly reminded us of that England, especially with Rooney available, would sweep all infront them.
Players and coaches from other leading contenders, have been very guarded about proclaiming victory, agreeing only for either nationalistic spirit or because they paid or selected to achieve triumph.
The question then is, whether you found them poor, and can this team go all the way?

I think they were really poor, especially comparing to a beautiful game Germany had played yesterday. Even Trinidad is playing better than England right now.

Yeah I do think so and I think everyone waited for a better result at least a bit easier but well

Veeery poor!!!. They didn't won, they didn't play as well, 1-0 was for a mistake not for their efforts. Shame!

yes as always, and back to the gramae souness question, its not that you get higher rewards, just seeing where the real football fans are. stick to politics, looks like that what you are about.

yes definetly. they had no flare or chemistry and were lucky to win but england have never done well in their opening match
