It all depends on your calendar. The celebration days are usually New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. If for example New Year's Eve comes on a Monday then New Year's Day will follow Monday and be on the next day which is Tuesday. New Year's Eve always comes first and the next day always is New Year's Day.
Hope this helps you!

Sorry, New Year's Day is only one day, and that is the first day of the new year. New Year's Eve is the night before. Neither event ever happens on a different day.

For Muslims, it is on 1st Muharram, subject to the appearance of the moon. For Hindus, it is on Dewali. For Parsis, it is Nauroz. For Bengalis, it is 1st Besakh. It differs according to religion and culture.
