Well, I think so. I'm a biologist who accepts the fact that evolution occurred, but I don't use that to try to prove that God doesn't exist. I'm also a born-again Christian who doesn't doubt a single word in the Bible. Evolution is nothing. I frankly don't see what the big deal about it is. The real enemy is Materialism- those pseudoscientists who think the physical universe is all that exists. That's not the same thing as evolultion. One can still believe in God and simply think evolution was a tool He used at times. But you can't be a Materialist and still believe in God at all. People should understand that they're disputing about a worldview, not about facts.

True-Christianity believes the Bible/Creation, yet does Not take Everything said in the Bible Literally, or Any of it Out of context! The Bible is misunderstood by many 'believers'.
If you want a Really GREAT explanation of Creation, see the books:
"Life -- How Did It Get Here? By Evolution or by Creation?"
(esp. notice the explanation of the length of the creative days in this one). See also:
"Is There a Creator Who Cares About You?"
http://www.watchtower.org/publications/publications_available.htm
Publications Available
I've checked them all out thoroughly against Bible Scripture, & find them Excellent!

A scientist is someone that is to do experiments in an unbiased way to get true results. Is that entirely possible, no. We are all human and have ideas about things.
In this case, a Christian would not try to prove evolution because they know the truth. The Bible is clear.
Here's just some common sense beyond religion and science. If evolution was true, why didn't ALL the apes evolve?

A scientist can prove that the earth is millions of years old.
According to the bible the earth spoken about is not near that old.
The only way a scientist can believe in his own work, and believe the bible, is by believing that the bible is a spiritual book, written firstly for the inner man to become alive, and live, andthereafter the physical man changes and follows the guidelines.
There is an answer for everything this way.
Heaven would then be the place where God lives, and that is in the mind of man.
Regards.

Yes most certainly. The evolution theory is not in conflict with the Bible. Notice how scientists have the problem with the missing link in man's evolution. I think it is related to the verse in Genesis that says "and God put man into a to deep sleep......."

evolution in the bible is mythical.
just that the church today take it literally.
In ancient times myth was used to explain and express real life situations, meaning that the evolution text in the bible can be interpreted in many ways.
A scientist beleiving in evolution can still be a christian, not one supported by the vatican though.

Sure, it's possible. They may believe in creationism but want to study evolution to see if it's possible. Or they could believe that God is responsible for evolution. Anyone ever consider that?

I believe yes, absolutely. The Bible doesn't necessary have to be taken at face value- it can be completely symbolic in a way we can't even understand.
If the faith in someone's heart draws them to Jesus, but the brain that God gave them draws them to scientific logic, then there's no conflict.
Who says God didn't create the world via evolution?

The better scientist your are, the less likely you are to be religious. Once you realize how the universe works all by itself, you see there's no need for a deity.
