The hardest part of running a rubber duckie ranch is keeping the poor little dears from getting too much sun!! They do melt you know!! And you have to be careful that they don't get stepped on since they are under most people's radar. Being short myself I understand this well.
There are actually several ways you can brand them. A heated paper clip can work very well. However, if you don't like them to cry, I find that a permanent Magic Marker is probably the best way to brand them.
Names, names....well, you could call it something like "You're the One" after the song from Sesame Street - "Rubber duckie, you're the one, you make bathtime so much fun." Or maybe "Duckies'R'Us" or "RD Bar None."
Just remember that you have to keep them used to being around people so that they are friendly when they go to their new home. So, spend lots of time with them and encourage your friends and ranch hands to do the same!
Good luck with them! I know you will find this very rewarding!! They are such little dears!!!

The hardest part about running a rubber duckie ranch is breeding them. It's so hard to tell which ones are male and female!
Quacko's Rubber Duckie Round-Up Ranch sounds nice to me.
And if you must brand them, please, don't use a branding iron. They squeak with pain when they melt; it's terrible. May I suggest permanent marker?

the bathing is the hardest part. Despite what Ernie says bathing with rubber duckies isn't what it's 'quacked' up to be.
The name: Just Ducky
As for the branding: I'll 'bounce' this idea off of ya. Sizzle a nice fat "L" on the bottom.......for "lucky". Yeah, so you might be 'burnin' some rubber' but that's ok. I mean, after all, rubber duckies don't get ruffled feathers ;)

LOL, but beware of PETORD=People for the Ethical Treatment of Rubber Duckies showing up at your ranch, and you could call your ranch, "TIRDS" The International Rubber Duckie Society, and as far as branding them goes, just use a Rubber Stampie;) LOL

i've never heard of a Rubber Duckie Ranch so I will just humor you
name them after smurfs
create a little brand symbol and brand them with a non water soluable stamp
start to breed, when you get enough create a line of rain gear
create a fake cook book with duck as the main course

I believe Sharpee's are the industry standard in Rubber Ducky Ranching. Personally I run a Devil Ducky Ranch in the Midwest. My Devil Ducks are free range and unbranded, only because that devalues them.
I still haven't come up with a good name for my Ranch, but our transport vehicle is aptly named the DUCKTRUCK.

I would think the hardest part of running a rubber ducky ranch would be keeping YOUR head above water! :)
My vote for the name of this "ranch" would be "Quackers"..that seems to fit the "bill"!
Now branding them would be a whole different story, it would depend on whether you're going for an "upscale" look, in that case I'd go with the press on rhinestone "tattoo" look..chic yet sassy and very "goose" friendly!

1. Getting the rubber duckies to eat.
2. Ducks and Rubber
3. Use spray paint and a stencil, because searing hot irons will kill rubber duckies.

personally, i find that the rubber chickens get pissed off at the rubber duckies. the duckies are quite a cheerful bunch but the chickens... for some reason, they have attitude. ( dont ask me why, and if you do, i wont answer)
I find that the plastic pigs do really well if you throw them a whoppee cushion every now and then, and that the stuffed cows need to be IN THE BARN when it rains or LOOK OUT they stink!
hope that helps.
(ps, i would use very colourful stickers to brand your ducks... you wouldnt want one to be seperated from the flock!)
hope that helps :)
