what do I do? I am sure that timing was a factor in it but I am worried that I may have messed up my chances at having a baby in the future because of the abortion.

Try this...after you have sex... prop a pillow under your butt, and lay like that and watch tv or whatever... do not get up afterwards because all the semon (spelling) will run out. if you have sex right before bed just prop a pillow and roll over and go to sleep. I tried to conceive for 2 years and finally I tried this without any test or fertility pills or anything and got pregnant within about a month. First wait until you all get married to try again. I had a friend that wanted a baby with her live in boyfriend for 5 years nothing happened. After they got married she was pregnant within a month. So don't worry about the abortion. Just don't have another abortion. Many women have been there and have great pregnancies later. Just get married first you won't regret being married and having children but you will regret not being married and having children. Marriage will bring security for you and your child. Read the instructions that I left for someone else that ask the question "ovulation indicator positive for a week".It works. Just wait. Even if you all go do a quick wedding with just you and your pastor then have a real wedding a few months later. If he gets you pregnant before you marry he may start to feel like he already has everything he wants so why marry now?

I don't support abortion but I also don't think less of you for doing it, it was a very difficult decision to make I am sure and anyone belittling you for doing so is presumptuous. Secondly, as long as you had a safe abortion you should be okay. My DH and I have never prevented a pregnancy in 3 year but it never happened, we actually started charting 7 months ago and still nothing. The most discouraging thing for me is that studies show it can take anywhere from 12 to 18 months to conceive in mid 20's. We are 26 and fall into that category easily. If you can and it will make you feel better talk to your doc or a doc about it and see what they think. Good luck to you and your FI, I hope everything works out well.

I doubt the abortion has anything to do with you not getting pregnant now. Dr's say that a healthy couple that takes a year to conceive is considered normal, so if you do the math, you only have about 10% chance each month and thats if you are charting or using ovulation detection and having sex when you ovulate.

my guess is soon after you are married you will concieve...a doctor would have to check you to determine other problems (or maybe the problem is with him, not you)
anyhow Abortion isnt wrong so ignore those who are critisizing you for a hard choice you had to make at an earlier time in your life.
Think of this also - the United Nations has long warned that uncontrolled Human Population Growth is the number one threat to our continued existance, and at 6.5 BILLION people we have exceeded our long term limit on this planet and are on a downward spin to our own demise... so perhaps you may consider adoption instead of contributing to the problem

yes you may have. it can cause infertility. please tell anybody that gets into a situation like that (abortion) that it can have numerous affects. they dont tell many people of this at the abortion clinic, it is bad for there pocket books. abortion is wrong and immoral.

see your gyno and be checked you may need to be cleaned out . the abortion may not have been all disposed off. its rare but happens
