Here's something that would do you some good, and the rest of us, too: go to your blog and journal ... write what you expected, just before the event. Write what you felt and thought at that moment when you realized that your guts were churning. Then write what sort of confusion or misgivings you experienced right after it was over.
You'd be surprised at how folk react when they connect with reality! Public figures are like fantasy ... except they're as real as you and me, actually.
Doing this will un-clench your guts ... betcha.
