Being gay is not something you are born with. It's not a gene. It's a psychological state that is, as you seem to know, unnatural. If you don't want it to happen, don't let it.

If you believe in God, pray for His help.

Find a confidante you can talk to or see a psychiatrist or a local clergyman if you like (I'm not saying you're crazy, I'm just saying a psychiatrist or a local clergyman might be able to provide some objective advice from an impartial observer).

I understand that sometimes it seems like you can't control something on your own and that can be a very helpless feeling--but if you really fear that you are starting to develop homosexual tendencies and don't want to, please get help from someone you trust. Don't try to bear this on your own.

Also, keep in mind that just because you experience an occasional "gosh, he's hott" thought about a guy (if you're a guy), that doesn't mean you're gay or turning gay. It means that you had a thought that you don't like--so switch your mind to something else as quickly as possible.

Also, try to assess if you have received any hurts from females (recently or in your past) that you might be reacting to. Did your mother leave your family? Did your girlfriend just break up with you? These are things that could be very discouraging and might lead you to think life might be better if you could just find what you're looking for in men. However, a man cannot offer another man the satisfaction and wholeness that a woman can give him in marriage.

These feelings are something that can be prevented, so if you don't want it to happen, there is hope.

You probably have been feeling this way for a long time but have been suppressing your feelings. I don't think you just wake up one day and say "I'm Gay!". I think you are born with the so called gay gene. I think the reason you don't want it to happen is because of the prejudice in the world. That alone has been the down fall of many gays and lesbians. Maybe you need to call a hot line or find somewhere where you can go talk to someone who has experience with this kind of issue. That way maybe is you talk to someone you may find out weather you are or not. Maybe you are Bi-curious. Who knows. I hope things go well for you and I hope you live a happy and blessed life. Good Luck!

Well i am not one of those people that believe that a person is born gay, or has always been gay. I know that is what people are saying, but I say bull crap to that. I believe homosexuality is learned behavior, meaning people pick it up from the influence of others. Nowadays being gay is supposedly the in thing, and people that are against it are called homophobes, bigots, or intolerant. If you think you are turning gay it means someone is influencing you. Find out who it is and cut that person out of your life. That person or those people, whichever the case may be. Whatever you do, dont fall into that trap where they say, "how do you know you wont like it if you dont try it"? Thats a load of crap. Hey I dont have to have sex with a goat to know I wouldnt like it, and I ain't gonna have sex with no hairy-assed man either.

Trust me, you are NOT turning into a gay. You are either Gay and in denial, or you are GAy and not in denial, or you are straight and you are crazy. Take your pick.

you dont magically turn into "a gay"
You are born that way. You either decide to accept yourself as you are or you live your life struggling against yourself which leads to self-loathing and tons of emotional and physical ailments.

It's probably more that you are lonely than anything else. Try lowering your standards and going out with people for fun more than trying to find "the one" and it should get better.
