He is feeling inadequate... The guys in those magazines are probably much better looking and better built than he is...
Or else he thinks so...
He feels his masculinity is being questioned... And is feeling a little emasculated... Maybe you should find one of the guys in the mag that closely resembles your guy, and ask your guy to pose like that for you, cos it turns you on so much... See what happens...

I would ask does he purchase his magazines in your presence or does he keep them private? I think maybe it's a little insensitive to whip out your mags in front of him. Funny thing is, I did the same thing when I was your age, not realizing myself that I was not thinking of how that may make my boyfriend feel. It's not just a matter of him being insecure. But your private fantacy time with your playgirl is just that, yours.

It sounds like a double standard, in which it is okay for him, and not okay for you. I do not subscribe to that ideology, and consider it perfectly alright for the ladies to view the "eye candy" in adult publications. If he gets ticked when you buy a Playgirl, and he's browsing Hustler, it's an indication he's a chauvinist. Boyfriends are a dime a dozen, and this one sounds like you need to trade him in on a newer model that will compliment your life, not complicate it. YOU GO GIRL!!! Regards

Perhaps he's interpreting it this way: that you are not satisfied with him and looks for satisfaction thru the mag. Or, that he's thinking that you are too hot to handle and may start flirting with others.
