getting a strange icon appearing on my desktop when i close internet explorer?

i use yahoo for my home page and search--i get a icon that says --ypsr---if i try to open it it says ypsr.exe is not a valid win 32 application---what is this thing and where does it come from??--sometimes when i send a e-mail--i will get a different desktop icon that says mailto---all in one word like that--whats goin on???--thanks for help!!!

sounds like you are missing a file for Yahoo something or other. I would go to control panel>add remove programs> remove all yahoo files. reboot and reinstall
