My husband is buying a truck from a private individual, the loan company needs a notarization,I am a notary but don't know if I can notarize it, I will not be on the loan

Being a Notary has nothing to do with this scenario. You need to be Power of Attorney. Legally that is the only way you can sign his name to a binding contract. Now it can be notarized after that is done, but that's your only solution. That is of course you just sign it an don't care about the consequences.

Unless you are registered as a Notary Public with the Secretary of State you can not notarize any document.

yes you can notarize the signature, but by no means can you sign his name, or sign your own name, if you are not a part of the transaction

I think you can since you are not benefiting from the loan. Call your clerk of court. They will know for sure. I would think the loan company would know too.
