About Schmidt w/ Jack Nicholson. When the movie ended I just remember everyone in the theater just sat there. Kind of dumb founded I guess! lol It really makes you stop and go "Wait a minute...." and it made me think of the outstanding rapid pace of life even though it seems so slow when we are living it, you better take you time and enjoy it because once it's gone, IT'S GONE! So live life to the fullest that you can, right now! I'm not talking about bungee jumping or skydiving, I'm talking about eating the ice cream cone that you crave TODAY! Snuggling more with the one you love TODAY! Call you Mom just to say "hey Mom" TODAY! Because there might not be tomorrow!

'Rang de basanti' coz it makes me realize how futile and useless is life without a purpose. I too like the characters in the movie study in a university. My life is full of fun and frolic. I do nothing except bunking lectures, hanging out with friends and studying just near exams. Sounds cool but its not. Sometimes, at the end of the day when i lie down to think 'bout my life, i feel so hollow inside. I'm living simply for the sake of living. When you look at the world around you, you feel there's a lot to be done. There are a lot many things that need to be changed and we are whiling away our life like that. Each individual has a purpose in life. Many youths like me don't want a 9 to 5 job but want to live a life that is not a waste. But how is that possible?Which way to go? We don't know.

These are both from books I have read, but the movies got the mood and meaning right... Howard's End and Sense and Sensibility. They are both so very realistic about peoples' motives and acceptance of love. Granted they take place a long time ago, but people haven't changed all that much!

Most disturbing and thought provoking? "Jacob's Ladder" with Tim Robbins
Of course, many other movies about war and genocide and slavery fit this category:
"Shindler's List"
"Hearts and Minds"
"The Fog of War"
"Full Metal Jacket"
"Amistad"

Most life changing? Silly as it seems, it was Bill Murray's "Groundhog Day" - really makes you think about what you'd do with your life if you were eternal and what you'd do since you're not!

My life as a House with Kevin Kline, Pieces of April with Katie Holmes, and The Upside of Anger with Kevin Costner. All three for the same reason -- they are about families trying to become cohesive units.

Red Dawn:........This movie is a fictional dramatization of World War 3 occurring on American soil. It involves Cubans and Russians invading the Western US and teenage high school kids escaping to the mountians and fighting back. I know it was fictional, but I seriously think it could happen.

I don't know about life changing, but "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" had me speechless for about an hour afterward. Because it makes you think, if there is a God then there is surely the Devil.. in whatever form that takes..

Schindler's list. the reason why! you'd think something that horrible too a race of people could never happen in a 1st or2nd world country! but just as easy as it happened in bosnia,it can happen to a major 1st world country, when people get mad they say and do illrational things. ignorance ,and collective brainwashing play a significant role in these things repeating themselves.

"What Dreams May Come" with Robyn Williams.

I believe in soul mates and sacrificial love. I had to watch it more than once. Each time, I understood it's meaning a little better. It's a work of art in my opinion.
