Wholly Moses 1980
This movie is a riot.
Harvey and Zoey, two tourists travelling through Israel, discover an ancient scroll describing the life of Herschel, the man who was almost Moses. Herschel receives the command from God to free his people from Egyptian slavery, but Moses keeps blundering by and taking all the credit. Several other biblical stories, such as Lot and his wife, David and Goliath, and the miracles of Jesus, are also parodied in this story of the life of a man trying to follow the path to God, but somehow always seeming to lose his way.
Dudley Moore .... Harvey Orchid/Herschel
Laraine Newman.... Zoey/Zerelda
James Coco.... Hyssop
Paul Sand.... God's Angel
Jack Gilford.... Tailor

John Ritter.... Satan (The Devil)

I love this movie....
Return to Me
About a young woman who meets the man of her dreams, only to find out her heart transplant of a year ago came from his wife, who was killed in a car accident. Written and directed by Bonnie Hunt, it stars David Duchovney, Minnie Driver, Bonnie Hunt and Jim Belushi. It's very sweet and funny. I think it's even better than the more popular romantic comedies like While You were Sleeping and You've Got Mail. Hope you like it!

North Country. It's not a comedy or romance, but an excellent real life movie. Plus you might cry too.

Have you seen, "In Her Shoes?" Very good, about two sisters, one of them is Cameron Diaz, they get into a big argument over a guy, and their grandmother, who they don't even know, brings them back together again. Also, "The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio" was great, based on a true story about a mother and her 11 children. And, if all else fails, there's always, "Brokeback Mountain." LOL.
