the peppermint can sort of overrun your garden, but do a yahoo search for garden herbs, and you'll have a plethora of sites that will tell you how to plant other things around it so that it doesn't get too out of control. peppermint can make bugs and animals wishing to eat your crops very unhappy.

You should analyse the soil of the garden in a garden-center. They will tell you which additives and fertilizer you can use to stabilise the soil... they will only go away like this. A yep, patience is something you will need to. (sorry, I can give no more explanation because of my english...)

Put some weed killer down and give the ground a good digging, make sure you dig up the roots so the plants dont come back.

Why would you want to? Peppermint drives away all sorts of things from ants to rats and spiders. Best wishes

Do you have anything else growing right now? If not, use a weed and grass killer, such as RoundUp. You can plant after about two weeks.
