Information has changed rules and texture of business. Their use to be business that were successful because they have the information. And that information gave them edge over the other player in the market. This kind business still exist. Due to inefficient information management system.

Place in which I work, customers are not invited to work place. Business is done over the phone. Every correspondence is scanned. It is not filed. Now a work which use to take100 days to completed in done in mere 7 days.

In old information management system it use happen like where a person wanted to process the request use to be in another station or city and required document in another. Now everything is centralized and secure due to new information system. This is the just one example. Many can be given.

It is not only how much information you have makes you successful but also who do you process, store and use it.
