There's not a lot of places that will hire a 15 yr. old, at least businesses that require a W-2 because their insurance won't cover you. I think McDonald's still may, if that's sort of the direction you're going. If you're about to turn 16, start filling out applications.
Try looking into Ma and Pa businesses that may pay under the table. Also yard work, like mowing lawns, raking leaves, pulling weeds- shoveling driveways in winter is an option. You could walk dogs, babysit, paper route.... just look around and see what people need. Also, you could sell stuff on ebay that you don't use as long as you can make it to the post office.

There are several options, unfortently, 16 years old is a minium at many places. Options include the following
1.Movie Theater (AMC, Showplace, etc...) cleaning and selling
2.Fast Food (McDonalds, Taco Bell, BK, etc...) selling and food prep
3.Retail Stores (Wal-Mart, Target) Stocking, Floor, Casher
4.Malls, Speicalty strores (Hobby Shops, Boarders, Clothing Chains)
It depends on what your looking for. If you need the job for money, just go around your locat aria and ask buisness, if it parents demands, ask if volinteer work is an option and try Hospitals, Schools, Commerce Centers, Etc...
The key is to be presistent, aprock them, and show respect, enthusiaum, and your ablities.
Good luck job-hunting.

When my nephew was fifteen because of the laws regarding child labor etc. his job choices were pretty limited to dishwasher, stock boy, and paper route.
He applied at grocery stores and restraunts. He got hired as a dishwasher, which he did til he was 16 and could work as a bus boy and share tips with the waitresses.

Check with those who are self-employed like
barbers, beauticians, realtors, insurance agents,
car wash owners, etc.. They usually need
extra help but don't have the time to go looking
for it nor do they hear the constant question
"are you hiring" that keeps their positions filled
and unavailable to job searchers like you.
If you like pets you can try pet sitting.
If you like kids you can try babysitting.
Advertise your services through your parents
or other adult relatives friends. Don't forget
neighborly odd jobs. Go to the library and make
some flyers on the free computer to advertise.
Hand them to people around your neighborhood.
Include your name and number. Be safe and
be hopeful.
Best wishes!
