There are no appproved medications to take while pregnant except vitamins. Taking anything will affect your baby...and nobody has any way of knowing how much. There are 4 categories for medicines while prgnant. ABC and X. "A" category would only be vitamins and things of that nature. "B" category would be things that are proven safe, but still not at high levels.....such as tylenol or ibuprofen, some cold medicines. "C" category are things that they effect baby's deifferently and you make the decision on if the risks outway the benefit to the mother. These include anti-deppressants, strong pain-killers, or any other kind of prescription medication that the mother may need. Of course the "X" category are things that will definitely harm your baby such as alcohol, illegal drugs, or smoking.

talk to your doctor. If you need to stop the medication because of your pregnancy they will work with you on alternatives that you can do in the mean time while you are pregnant that won't be detrimental to the baby.

Tramadol (Ultram), although not technically a narcotic, is a narcotic-like drug which can lead to addiction, after reading that i think you should not take it for now and talk to ur doc about it and them if its safe or not, and if its not then ask what else you can use

you must absolutely talk to your doctor, there are few medicines that you are aloud to take while pregnant (really, really few) and if it's a pain pill probably you shouldn't take it, most pain pills affect the child. anyway go ask your pharmacist or the doctor!
