you can go to the dollar store and get really good tools for a dollar,if he likes golf, buy him a round, take him to see a movie, take him to his favorite sport game, buy him something he wants, take him to the mall and get what ever he wants, as long as it is in your price range. take him to a bookstore and buy that book he really wants, buy him a new car(just kidding!). buy him a movie, music,or fancy pens, or take him out to eat at his favorite restaurant. hope these work!

I agree with the other answerer= take him out to eat with you somewhere, doesnt have to be an expensive place,I'm sure he'll understand and remember it's the thought counts more, really.
OR if you cook, maybe you could make him a nice meal, something you know he likes.
And you can always resort to what kids do, make him something arts n crafts style.LOL

Lucky you...you still have a father (alive and kicking)....I can't even go to his grave (Germany and I live in Hawaii). Ask yourself what would be the one thing that you would regret not having done or given to your Dad, if he wasn't alive anymore. You know him better than any of us here. Think hard and get it or do it with him....now that you still can.

Maybe you should ask him about what he wants. Maybe it is nothing but Dinner or even Breakfast. Just talk to him and find out. Then go and try to buy whatever he wants. Good Luck!

I think it is easier to buy for my husband and father-in-law, my mom is soooo picky.
new tool box can range from $20.00 to $200.00
does he fish---new tackle box, and lures..walmart- you could spend $20.00 and get him tons of stuff
a new travel mug with his favorite football, nascar, hockey...whatever team on it.
a dvd--what's his favorite movie?
do you have kids? you could get a new 8x10 of your kids printed yp, frame it and its a present any proud grandpa would love. you can even take the picture yourself...take it to cvs, or walmart or where ever you developed film...$20.00 for picture and frame
a new baseball cap
does he read?..LOL..my husband only reads his hunting and fishing magazine.....you could buy him the lastest best seller.
you could even cook him a really nice dinner with all of his favorites.
hope some of that helped.....now..what am i going to get my husband?...lol..last year our kids picked out a spongebob square pants shirt for their daddy, and i got him a new fishing pole.

Well do something your Dad likes with him, if it's not something too costly.
