Please go into your local pet store. The employees will be able to help you with your problems (for free) and tell you what you need to get to treat it, if its not too late. You can also bring in a water sample for a free water test to many pet stores.

I can really only help you if you give me a description of what way is he ill? Any marks? Wounds? White spots? Fugus/cottom like growth? Not eating?

White cloudy water may not possibly be a bad thing.

And yes you can take it to a petstore for help. Altho I do not reccommend taking the actual sick fish, because that will cause a lot fo stress.

Do this:

-Get a water sample in a clean cup or zip lock baggy.
-Look at the fish, write down any noticable marks or anything different at all. Take a picture if you can, if not tho, that is ok. Just have somewaht of a description.
-Go to Petsmart. Have them test your water, and you tell them the description of what the fish is like. They should be able to reccommend a med. for the fish. And it will be ok to treat your whole tank even with the other fish in it.

Without you telling us more we cant tell you whats wrong. How is he acting? Does he look any different? What are the water params? Do you know what the other fish died of?

It might be time to consult a veterinarian that treats fish. You can locate one on the AVMA.org site

the only thing you can do for a sick cat fish is some corn meal and 400 degree peanut oil.
