How do I get my computer to recognize that my ipod is plugged in?

Make sure that you have loaded the software that came with the IPod, then restart the computer.

If it still doesn't recognize the IPod use the "Help" feature located in ITunes.

Check your USB port in your hardware configuration. If it's not installed, your PC won't recognize anything plugged into it.

You probably didn't load the software with the iPod connected or you connected it to the wrong USB port.

a pop up will show out after plug in.

I had to reinstall the program. but you might want to go to the help bar and go the manual of your ipod.

check to see if your USB drivers are up to date.

Make sure the IPOD is online.. and the cable is good.
