Its gonna sounds scary but they take a clamp grab the skin mark it with a marker, take the needle, its kinda large about 14 gauge, think the thickness of the lead in a wood pencil, and push it through fast, it hurts some but not as bad as some people make it seem, after the needle is through, they put the ring in and tell you what to do to have it heal properly, word of advice take vitamins its the only reason mine finally healed after 8 months of really slow healing

They put 2 dots on top and on bottom and they stick the needle in the belly button. Good luck!

A needle...they mark 2 dots, one on top one on bottom and then push the needle through and follow it by the jewelry. Best wishes

Obviously, they jab a medium gauge needle clean through the area being pierced, and the jewelry is inserted to grow around the hole pierced.

Well, they used a needle on me. And they guy was new and he kept doing it becuase he kept messing up!!! But other then that, I couldnt feel a damn thing!
