Quote from wikipedia:
"Most ducks have a wide flat beak adapted for dredging. They exploit a variety of food sources such as grasses, grains and aquatic plants, fish, and insects. Some (the diving ducks) forage deep underwater; the others (the dabbling ducks) feed from the surface of water or on land. To be able to submerge easier, the diving ducks are heavier for size than dabbling ducks, and therefore have more difficulty taking off to fly. A few specialized species (the goosander and the mergansers) are adapted to catch large fish."

Ducks are not that picky when it comes to eating. They usually eat a lot of bugs both flying bugs and the bugs that are in the grass, and some fish as well. They also love to eat bread and crackers too! There are duck food pellets you can give them as well. You can probably find this food in your Pet Center nearest you. Ducks are interesting creatures that you can watch and learn from. If your ducks are kept outside loose, they do poop a lot all over the place. As nice as they are to watch, they are also very messy. I hope this has helped you! Good luck! Animals were given to us humans to enjoy and learn from.
