You're describing my brother-in-law. He's a great guy - probably the best friend I've got besides my wife and kids.
What would I think of a random stranger walking down the street wearing all black? "Gee...I think he likes black clothing." No different than someone wearing all red, or blue, or green.

A Goth maybe, but my son wears all black most of the time and he is a Christian.

If it's a sunny day, I think, "damn, he's gotta feel hot in that outfit." As for the person, I generally think they are either unhappy or full of themselves. Depends on the clothes.

black doesnt always have to mean werid or mysertious it could also mean fashionable or dressy...it all depends how the guy is wearing it and to where..i could think all sorts of things ...

I'd think that he was goth. But, other than that, I wouldn't prejudge his personality or intelligence
