There are web sites that will help to give you clues about the gender of your turtle. First you will need to know what kind of turtle you have. My female box turtle (she has a short tail, short toe nails and brown eyes) is named Turtlelina.
ps Turtles are a big commitment. They are wonderful animals; please treat them with respect. :)

I like the name "Sheldon" (since they have a shell). But if it's a girl, I don't know...maybe "Shelly"?

Here's info on how to tell boy/girl turtles apart:

I don't know how you tell it's sex, but if you name it obie it could be a boy or girl. My little girl had a turtle..she wanted to name it
dobie, but she couldn't say it so it became obie.

I used to have turtles and I called them "Shelly" and "Nelly". I also like the name "Myrtle" for a turtle.
