She should know what she wants to major in, and not switch majors in the middle of her college years. She should find out exactly what college she wants to attend to, when she finds out what college she wants to go to she should fill out the college application and have a 2nd college that she would like to go to as a back up and fill out that college application just in case she doesn't get into the one she selected as her first choice, once she gets accepted she should sign up for a dorm room immediately as they will be filled fast. And, make sure she is truly prepared to go to college. And, have full support from her parents, and knows how to manage money and bills.

Yes, many things. Start with the trivium and quadrivium of medieval liberal arts. "Philosophy and the Liberal Arts" by Ballard. Borrow it from a library, it is expensive. But it is an incredible help in learning what is worthy of ones life effort. It can help one develop perspective in which to sort out the many ideas one is likely to encounter in college and in life. Every chance one gets, regardless of major, take some sort of philosophy course. They can be of incomparable benefit in answering the most important questions that one relies upon to make the big decisions of life.

You can't really prepare for college. you just go and then that's it. It is nothing like high school. I actually like it a lot better than high school. so you have nothing to worry about. Just don't get caught up with boys. Stay on your school work. Make sure that you got all your paper work in though.

Learn that unless it can be expressed in numbers, it's not a fact -- it's just somebody's opinion. Learn how to use logic, both deductive logic and inductive logic. You need both, but inductive logic is harder.
