Because having a gas barbeque is a cop out - you're not going to get that tasty blackened smoky flavour with a gas barbeque, you might as well just put your food under the grill in the kitchen. People who buy gas barbeques are completely missing the point.

Charcoal barbeques make the food taste better, you get that smokey taste.
